Child support & cash benefits

For families who are now getting cash benefits from the:

  • Kinship Care program
  • SSI Caretaker Supplement program
  • Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program and have a child support case with a county agency
  • W-2 program's
    • W-2 Community Service Job
    • W-2 Transitional Placement
    • W-2 Custodial Parent of an Infant program and had received cash benefits in the past (from one of the programs above or from AFDC)

When you sign up for these cash benefits programs, you will get child support services. These services are free.

You will have to cooperate with the child support program unless you have good cause not to cooperate.

At least some of the support paid will be used to pay for the cash benefits you get.
