How can I get a Visa debit card?
If you do not use direct deposit, you
will get a Visa debit card when the Trust Fund receives and processes your first
support payment. You do not have to apply for the debit card.

My credit is bad. What if I have been turned down when I applied for a
credit or debit card before?
If you get support payments you can receive a Visa debit card. Your credit
rating does not matter.
Can I get a second card for someone else such as a family member?
We do not encourage more than one card for each account. However, in certain
situations a second card can be issued to a family member or caretaker. Please
contact Chase (1-866-817-0761) to ask for a second card. When you get the second
card, you will need to activate the second card.
I have more than one support case. Can I have the payments from one
case put on a debit card and payments from the other cases paid by direct deposit?
No, you can choose only one method of payment. All of your payments must be put on debit card
account or directly deposited into your bank account.
When will I get my Visa debit card?
You will get a card after the next payment is made to your case. If no payment is
made on your case, you will not get a card.
After the Trust Fund gets your next support payment, you will get a letter in 2 to 3 business days. The letter will tell you that your card is coming. You will get your card 4 to 6 business days after you get the first letter.
You can activate your card as soon as you get it. Once you activate your card, you can use it. (Information about activating your card will come with your card.)
After you get your card, future payments will be applied to your account usually within 2 business days after the Trust Fund gets the support payment.
I got the letter saying that my card was coming. I
never got the card. What should I do?
The letter and the debit card are sent to the address your child support
agency has on file. The post office will forward the letter to a new address. Debit cards are not forwarded. You should call Chase's toll free number (1-866-817-0761), and ask them to issue you another card. Changing your address with Chase will also update your address with your child support agency.
I live outside the US. Can I get a debit card?
If you live in a US Territory (Puerto Rico, Guam, or the Virgin Islands)
or in Canada, you will get a debit card if you do not use direct deposit.
Chase's customer service number (1-866-817-0761), will not work for international calls if you live elsewhere. You will not be able to activate your card.
If you live in Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, or Canada, you can use JP Morgan's toll free number to activate your card. Calls from US Territories and Canada use domestic long distance, not international long distance.
After you get and activate your debit card, you can use the card in other countries -- wherever a Visa is accepted.
