National Adoption Month 2014

Children's Hands

In honor and recognition of adoptive parents in Wisconsin, the Department of Children and Families is pleased to announce that Secretary Eloise Anderson will present the 2014 Governor's Outstanding Adoptive Parent Awards for National Adoption Month in November. This award is to recognize and thank adoptive parents for their incredible efforts to improve the lives of children and families in Wisconsin. The award ceremony will be held in the Assembly Chamber of the State Capitol building on November 18 at 11am.

Please nominate adoptive parents you think should be recognized for their support of adoptive children. You are encouraged to submit nominations for any adoptive parents who go above and beyond, especially those who have adopted sibling groups, teenagers, children with special needs and/or foster care children. Please provide as much detail as possible.

Families chosen will be invited to attend a recognition ceremony with Secretary Anderson to receive their awards. To nominate outstanding adoptive parents, please fill out the nomination form. This simple form allows you to provide specific examples about why your nominee deserves this great honor.

Nominations must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014.
