Alex
Alex is described as being a shy, friendly, sweet
natured child. He enjoys playing basketball and watching cartoons,
including Spiderman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He also loves
playing with action figures and using his imagination. His
creativity really shines through his art work and school projects.
Alex is 16 years old and in good health. Chronologically, Alex is in
the 11th grade, but performs at a 4th grade
level. He needs a family who supports him in his academic
development. Alex is working on controlling aggression issues and
processing through past abuse issues. He needs a family who will
support his therapy, and, provide him with supervision and love. Alex
benefits from redirection and patience. Often times he becomes frustrated
with change. His adoption
social worker suggests he transition slowly into his “forever home”.
Alex states he wants a mother, father, and permanent home without
dogs. Due to past abuse issues, it is recommended Alex be the
youngest or only child in the home. He needs a family who is
committed to providing him with a safe and stable home where he can grow
and develop into a responsible young man. An out-of-state adoptive
placement is a possibility for Alex, providing the family is willing to
make multiple visits to
Wisconsin
that will aid in a comfortable, healthy transition.
